Doncaster Coroner’s Court heard on Monday that Amy Docherty (27) was found dead at her home on Elm Grove, Greasbrough, on Sunday, August 27.

Senior coroner, Mr Fred Curtis, adjourned the full hearing until February 13 for further investigations to be carried out.

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said the force was called to the property at around 2.45pm following reports the body of a 27-year-old woman had been found.

The spokeswoman added: “There are not thought to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death.”

A fundraising page set up by Becky Gott in the wake of Ms Docherty’s death raised £1,630 online to go towards her funeral costs and family.

The GoFundMe page reached the £1,000 mark within 24 hours and was shared more than 900 times on Facebook.

Becky said she had set the page up on behalf of Amy’s sister, Louise, “to raise a bit of something to give our beautiful, kind-hearted friend the very best send off she deserves, or maybe something for her precious little boys who she loved so much.”
