Missing banner

Who and why has someone removed our banner! Richmond Park Tenants and Residents Association managed to secure £100 funding this year to purchase a decent advertising banner to promote our annual Community Fun Day, which is being held on Sunday.

Having secured it safely 2ft up on Richmond Park Avenue, Kimberworth, it disappeared after only six days.

As our main source of advertising this may seriously affect the success of the event, which is aiming to raise funds to refurbish the community building and support other events like the OAP Christmas Dinner.

We have had a home made sign in exactly the same place for the last three years and not had any problems before.

Is it kids who just wanted a challenge, a disgruntled resident or someone in authority being ‘jobs worth’? Whatever the reason WE NEED OUR BANNER BACK and although we have tried so far we have failed in our attempts to locate it.

If anyone can offer any information or can return it to us please let us know.

Our event is being held just off Richmond Park Avenue from 1pm on Sunday, all are welcome for an afternoon of fun, games and refreshments.

Mandy Matthews, Richmond Park TARA.
