The event is being organised by a group of young people from the south of the borough who have been successful in getting funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund for the 'Raising Aspirations: The Miners' Strike, Through the Eyes of Women’ project.

The project is is looking at how the lives of some women changed during the 1984/85 strike. Young people will use multimedia to capture these stories so that they can be used to inspire other young people.

If you would like to attend the Ulley event then please book your place by calling Wentworth Valley Area Assembly on 01709 334717 or Rother Valley West Area Assembly on 01709 254145.
