Millers stunned by late equaliser

Elliot Lee headed in off the last attack of the game to make it 2-2 and stun Steve Evans’ men just as they were about to end a run of four league matches without a win.

Former Miller Marcus Bean headed the visitors into the lead after only six minutes from Luke Garbutt’s corner kick.

The celebrations had barely died when Tubbs levelled, slotting home from a centre by Joe Skarz. It was the striker’s first goal since his August loan switch from Bournemouth.

Rotherham got went ahead on 21 minutes when Kieran Agard thrashed in his sixth goal of the season after Kari Arnason’s long throw caused panic in the Colchester defence.

The Millers continued to have the upper hand, with Tubbs and Alex Revell going close to adding to the lead in the second half before the late sucker punch.
