The Carabao Cup second round tie at Premier League new boys Huddersfield Town (7.45pm) gives Paul Warne's side a chance to try and get Saturday's tight defeat at Peterborough out of the system.

Although Williams and Potter were two of the better performers in that match, their inclusion is still open to question because Warne is expected to make a few changes. And with the Terriers expected to do the same, a close contest could be in store.

Williams said: "Huddersfield have beaten Crystal Palace and Newcastle. I would be excited to test myself against them and I'm sure the rest of the boys will be too."

Midfield team-mate Potter added: "Huddersfield is a good challenge for us in different competition and it gives us a little bit of respite from the league."

If Rotherham do make it through, fans will have to set their alarms for 4.15am tomorrow morning to catch the third round draw from Beijing.
