A Kevin Ellison strike and an Adam Le Fondre penalty cancelled out strikes by Steven Schumacher and Calvin Zola for the home side before substitute Drewe Broughton marked his return from injury by netting the winner five minutes from time.

Moore said: "We made one or two little mistakes at the back but we'll put them right. It's just a matter of tinkering with one or two things and once we do that we will become a a top class side."

Rotherham now face two successive home games, with Hereford United visiting Don Valley Stadium on Saturday and big-spending Notts County seven days later.
