Mexborough man seriously hurt in taxi horror
POLICE have appealed for information after a pedestrian suffered a fractured skull when he was hit by a taxi.
Officers believe the 35-year-old man, from Mexborough, was on the phone as he emerged from the central reservation.
It happened on St Mary’s Gate, Sheffield, shortly before 11.45pm on Monday. The pedestrian was taken to Northern General Hospital.
Witnesses are asked to to call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident 1253 of January 28 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
