Men with machete broke into home of man (61)

THREE men in balaclavas armed with wooden sticks and a machete broke into a home and demanded money.

Police were called to Edlington Lane in Warmsworth at about 10.50pm on Monday.

Officers said the home owner, a 61-year-old man, was left shaken but unhurt.

One suspect is described as white and stocky. He was wearing dark jeans and a jacket at the time.

Police appealed for anyone who was in the area at the time or saw anyone acting suspicious to contact them.

Call 101 quoting incident 1196 of April 17.
