Masborough attack victim still fighting for life

A MAN is still in life-threatening condition in hospital five days after being assaulted in a barber's shop.

Police called to the Prince Cuts shop in Masbrough Street, Masbrough, last Thursday afternoon found the 22-year-old unconscious with serious head injuries.

He was taken to Rotherham General Hospital and later transferred to The Royal Hallamshire Hospital in Sheffield.

The victim’s condition was described this afternoon as life-threatening but stable.

Detectives investigating the incident, which took place at about 4.30pm, have arrested a 16-year-old boy and two men aged 20 and 25 on suspicion of wounding. All three are still in police custody.

Det Insp Lea Jackson said: "We understand there were people in the area and passers-by who may have seen this incident.
