Man still in hospital after Goldthorpe car collision

A MAN remains in hospital after sustaining life-threatening injuries when a car crashed into a garden wall.

The 22-year-old had to be cut out of his vehicle following an early morning incident on Highgate Lane, Goldthorpe, last Friday.

Police said that at around 1.55am, the man was driving a black Seat Ibiza when it left the road just after the junction of West View Crescent and collided with the garden wall of a property on Highgate Lane and with a parked Ford Transit van before coming to a stop.

A spokeswoman for South Yorkshire Police said today: “The man is still in hospital.”

Officers are still appealing for witnesses to the incident. 

Anyone who can help is urged to call 101, quoting incident number 53 of March 23.
