Man arrested on suspicion of murder after woman's body found in Kimberworth

The body of a 29-year-old woman was found in a property on Pitt Street at around 11.25pm, said a South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman.

A post mortem will be carried out later today to determine the cause of death.

"At around 11.25pm on Sunday, police were called by ambulance staff to the property," said the spokeswoman.

"A 28-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and currently remains in police custody." 

Officers are carrying out enquiries in the area and anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident number 1127 of February 25.
