Man and teen arrested after house break-in

POLICE arrested a man and a teenage boy after a house break-in.

Offenders entered a property on Violet Avenue, Edlington, at about 12.15am on Tuesday.

They ran from the house and left in a vehicle, thought to have been a black VW Golf.

Nothing is believed to have been taken during the incident, police have said.

A short time later, officers on patrol pursued a black Golf after it failed to stop for police in the Edlington area.

A 51-year-old man and a 16-year-old boy arrested on suspicion of burglary and failing to stop have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting incident 13 of March 21.
