Man (40) charged with murdering Wombwell woman

A MAN has been charged with the murder of a Wombwell woman who was found dead in her home.

Lee Trevor Fueloep (40), of Willow Garth, Wombwell, was last night (Sunday) charged with murdering Jill Hibberd and burglary. 

Ms Hibberd (73) was found dead at her Roy Kilner Road home at 7.45am last Thursday (May 31). A post mortem revealed she died of stab wounds.

Fueloep remains in police custody and will appear before Barnsley magistrates this morning (Monday).

A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said: "While Jill is not thought to have any immediate family, she has a number of close friends who have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers." 

Officers are appealing for sightings of Ms Hibberd’s red Audi TT (below), registration YM17 SYJ, which was taken from the driveway of her home at 9pm on Wednesday. May 30, and remains outstanding. 

Detectives believe the car was taken from the driveway of the victim's house on the evening of Wednesday, May 30.
