Man, 24, held after 'gun' incident

A MAN has been charged after reports of an incident involving a gun.

Matthew James Hirst (24), of Schofield Street in Mexborough, was charged with possession of an imitation firearm and intent to cause fear of violence on Friday.

He was remanded into custody, to appear at Sheffield Crown Court on Friday, March 10. 

The charge relates to an incident on Avenue Road, Wath, on Wednesday, February 8, where a man was reportedly seen with a firearm.
