Lorry horror boy 'stable'

AN EIGHT-year-old boy remains in hospital after suffering a fractured pelvis from a runaway lorry that crushed him against a wall.

The youngster, who has not been named, was pinned against the wall by an Iveco flatbed lorry which had been parked on Elm Green Lane in Conisbrough.

The vehicle rolled down the road to the junction with Station Road before hitting the eight-year-old.

Police and the Yorkshire Air Ambulance attended the incident which happened at around 6.30pm on Monday.

The boy was flown to Sheffield Children's Hospital and is described today as being in a stable condition.
