Loan man hoping for late Rotherham United cheer

The 21-year-old loan man from Norwich City got his first run-out as a late substitute away to QPR last week and will be staking a claim for a regular starting shirt between now and May.

Having only found the net once in their last four games, the Championship's bottom club need to switch things up in attack and would consider trying to get Morris back next term if all goes well.

For now, the man who netted eight times in a spell at Hamilton last season isn't looking any further than the final eight Championship matches.

“Eight games is a lot of games in football and a lot can happen,” he exclusively told the Advertiser. “We could pick up a bit of form and get a few points and I could make some chances and take some chances, we will just have to see how it goes.

“This is kind of fresh for me so I'm champing at the bit to go out and work hard for the boys and the manager.

“What are my assets? Pace, strength and hopefully finishing. I can use both feet and win a few headers as well.

“When I was at Norwich going through the youth team and then in the U21s, I always popped up with a few goals and I helped Hamilton to a few last season as well. Hopefully I can keep that going here.”

Morris and the Millers, now on the brink of relegation, take a break from league action this weekend before next Saturday’s home date with play-off chasers Fulham.
