Letter: Thank you from the “New British”
IN my earlier period as a councillor in Rotherham Borough Council I was compelled to ask Cllr Roger Stone if he would ask his leader Tony Blair to reduce the seemingly out of control immigration into Rotherham.
As my question unfolded it became drowned out by some 60 Labour councillors triumphantly shouting “Shame”. Roger Stone gave a desultory answer which effectively meant no!
The trip to Romania with the Police Band and other addenda such as a demonstration of an English cricket match was simply an expedition to inform the Romanians what a lovely accommodating place Rotherham is!
The consequence of this surely has been the arrival of approximately 5,000 Roma gypsies.
Over the years I have attended some of the ceremonies where the qualifying candidates are given their British Citizenship, by always the Labour Mayor. The new British are understandably ecstatic.
