Laura murder accused found not guilty

THE FORMER lover accused of being jointly responsible for the brutal murder of teenage mum Laura Wilson has been acquitted by a jury.

Ishaq “Zac” Hussain (22), who had a brief fling with her after which she gave birth to a daughter, walked free from Sheffield Crown Court yesterday.

Hussain’s friend Ashtiaq “Ash” Asghar (18), of Holmes Lane, Holmes, who also had an affair with Laura and was said to be the “love of her life,” has already admitted killing her and will be sentenced later.

Laura (17), was repeatedly stabbed and dumped in a canal near Meadowhall after telling the families of two Asian men that she had affairs with both of them.

Hussain was alleged by the prosecutionto to be jointly responsible for Laura’s death with student Asghar carrying out the killing after Laura was lured to the canal.
