Lane closure on M1 slip road where lorry overturned

ONE lane will remain closed on a motorway slip road after an overturned lorry damaged a safety barrier.

Highways England said the lane closure - on the northbound entry slip road of the M1 at junction 34 near Meadowhall - will be in place until the barrier can be repaired.

The roundabout - which links the M1 with the A6109 Meadowhall Road - will also be reduced to two lanes.

Highways England said its conractors "are working hard to fully reopen the slip road as soon as possible".

Drivers have been told to expect delays or consider alternative routes.
