Labour leadership front-runner visits Rotherham

LABOUR leadership candidate David Miliband stopped off in Rotherham to speak to students and businesses about Government cuts.

Mr Miliband visited Rotherham Trades and Labour Club as part of a tour around Yorkshire.

Around 100 people attended the event where the MP spoke out about the coalition Government and took questions from the audience.

He said: "We need to understand why people lost faith in places like Rotherham. We were no longer the party of fairness and unless we can recapture that we will not win the next election.

“We weren't proud enough of our record and we weren't humble enough about our mistakes."
