Kids’ competition winners spruce up their neighbourhood
KEEN-eyed winners of a kids’ competition were given vouchers as part of a project to improve the appearance of their neighbourhood.
They took part in a wordsearch contest which followed a community clean-up in Duncan Street and Ellis Street, Brinsworth.
Winner Sam Kirk received a £30 voucher, while £10 went to runners up CJ Ethelstone, Ellis Buckley, Casey Lavendar and Harry Pennycook.
Neighbourhood support officer Kyley Taylor said: “Young people were invited to take part in an environmental wordsearch competition which was in a newsletter delivered to residents.
“It was distributed following a community clean up event last year, giving residents the opportunity to bring out their rubbish and participate in cleaning up their area.”
