Invitation to free Mexborough pantomime performance

MEMBERS of the public are invited to a free panto performance today.

Swallow Wood Care Home on Wath Road in Mexborough is putting on Jack and the Beanstalk at 5.30pm today.

The pantomime will be performed by Northeast Producers Travelling Theatre Company and festive food and drink will be on sale.

Home manager Tracey Cowdell said: “We’re looking forward to all our Christmas activities, but many of our residents particularly enjoy pantomimes as they ignite memories from years gone by.

“We want to encourage social interaction between the different generations, which is why we are opening up the show to friends, families and members of the public.

“We couldn’t run all our activities without the wonderful volunteers who help us out, so we would welcome any others who would like to join us.”

Anyone interested can just turn up for the pantomime or call Tracey on 01709 571477.

Staff at the home are also keen to hear from anyone who can help them put on activities.
