Inspectors hail improvement at Broom Valley school

A ROTHERHAM school is fighting back after being placed in special measures, according to Government inspectors.

Broom Valley Community School was identified as needing extra help in November 2009.

But after a two-day monitoring visit, inspectors have reported that the quality of teaching has improved.

Ofsted said the main target now was to increase the capacity of the governors to evaluate what was happening at the school and provide support or challenge as required.
