Illegal disabled badge user given £300 court bill
Lee David Nicholson, (26), of Hazelbarrow Crescent, Sheffield, pleaded guilty by post to using his mum’s blue badge to park in a disabled parking bay on The Crofts, in March.
Sheffield Magistrates’ Court heard he took it from her car and displayed it in his car on the day in question.

Cllr Denise Lelliott, Cabinet member for jobs and the local economy for Rotherham Borough Council, said: “This is yet another example of this extremely anti-social crime. Not only was the badge displayed fraudulently; the vehicle was parked in a designated disabled parking bay thereby denying a genuine person the opportunity to park there.
“The council will not tolerate such activities and will take legal action whenever it is in the public interest to do so.”
