Hospital phone lines working again after floods

A NUMBER of telephone lines at hospitals across the area which experienced difficulties, due to flooding are now working again.

Rotherham Hospital's main switchboard and some numbers at Sheffield's Royal Hallamshire Hospital were affected by heavy flooding in parts of Leeds over the weekend.

Both Vodafone and BT systems in Leeds were affected by flood damage.

Additional switchboard staff were brought in to help while engineers repaired the damage.

But health bosses have confirmed the lines are up and working again.
