A GANG of hooded youths attacked a man in the street and stole alcohol from him.
The 37-year-old victim was assaulted after he left Booze Barn on Church Street, Conisbrough, between 8.45pm and 9.20pm on Saturday, January 6.
A South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said the man had been approached by a group of around eight boys aged between 14 and 17 years old.
“The boys reportedly made demands for money before they followed the man on to Castle Street and Station Road, where one of the boys punched him and another pushed him to the ground,” she said.
“They then stole the bag he was carrying from Booze Barn before running from the area as the victim ran on to Dale Road.”
The teenagers were dressed in dark clothing and had their hoods up.
Police are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
