Homes wanted for Cassey and Lily

AN ANIMAL rescue is desperately appealing for a new home for two unwanted moggies taken in after a year of being made to live in a cellar.

Barnsley Animal Rescue Charity (BARC), which is based at Wath, has been looking after siblings Cassey and Lily for a month.

“These two lovely cats have been kept in a cellar for a year as the owners had redecorated did not want them in the house,” said volunteer Joan Jenkinson.

Lily the cat.

They have been with us for some time and no-one has shown an interest in them — it can be difficult to find a home for two cats together.

“They have been together since they were kittens and we would hate to have to split them up — we really want to find a home for them.

“Cassey is a beautiful all-black cat and Lily is a white and tabby.”
