Help to cope with wideawake kids

PARENTS struggling to send their children off to the Land of Nod will be given a helping hand at a free workshop.

The Advertiser reported last month how mum Taryn Edge from South Anston had a four-hour session run by the Children’s Sleep Charity to thank for solving her four-year-old daughter Gracie’s sleep problems.

The story inspired the management of Manvers’ Park Inn Hotel to offer sleep practitioner Vicki Dawson the free use of a room to hold a special workshop for Rotherham parents and their children from 9.30am to 2.30pm on October 2.

Vicki said: “The story has sparked a great deal of interest amongst parents in the area who are keen to attend a workshop themselves.”

There are ten free parent places available for the session at the Park Inn, while there will be a charge for practitioners — including family support workers, early years practitioners, health visitors and social workers — wishing to take part.
