STRESS management sessions have been set up to help those feeling the pressure of Christmas.

The free five-week course - Stress Control - is being provided by by NHS Rotherham's primary care mental health service.

It is designed for those suffering with anxiety, depression, sleep difficulties, anger or low self esteem.

Graduate mental health worker Tracey Jones said: "One in six people suffer from stress or anxiety during their lives."

"This course aims to teach people to understand the triggers of their stress and anxiety and provides them with the support and self-help techniques to be able to manage it."

"We also provide an information pack and activities for people to work through in their own time."

The sessions begin at Montgomery Hall in Wath-upon-Dearne Thursday January 14 at 2.30pm. It is open to any over-18s registered with a GP and living in Wath, Brampton, Swinton, West Melton, Wentworth, Nether Haugh, Upper Haugh, Manor Farm or Harley.
