Carol Bowyer, the trust’s voluntary services manager, said: “Volunteering is vital to our organisation.

“Each year, dedicated volunteers of all ages and backgrounds selflessly devote their time to us.

“They find themselves carrying out a variety of tasks which help to support our staff and offer additional help and activities for service users.

“These include helping out in art groups, driving patients to and from the hospital sites, providing trolley services to the wards and helping out in the cafés and gardens.

“Wherever they are and in whichever role they choose to offer their help, both the trust and those who use our services are extremely grateful for the time that they give.”
