Healey digs deep for votes

PLANT-loving parliamentary candidate John Healey dug deep for votes when he paid a visit to a community vegetable garden.

Mr Healey MP met with members of Rotherham In Root at their garden — situated at Rosehill Surgery, Rawmarsh..

Members said that they were “delighted” to have an apple tree planted by John.

Volunteer site-leader Sarah Hague said: “We cannot thank John Healey enough for taking the time out from his busy election campaign to visit the community veg garden and meet the strong team of volunteers who are dedicated to community growing, which benefits many people across Rotherham as the food grown is shared.”

John later paid a visit Rawmarsh Community School to talk to some of the students involved with the Rotherham In Root after school club.
