Golden Smithies Lane closed after crash involving motorcyclist

The incident on Golden Smithies Lane, Swinton, near to the hand car wash occurred at around 8.30am this morning (Wednesday), said an eye-witness.

An eyewitness said the crash involved a motorcycle and a car and another witness said the air ambulance had been called to the scene.

Police have closed the road between The Gate pub and Dearne Valley College.

Stagecoach said its 22X and 222 bus services  have been diverted via Queen Street between Manvers and Swinton.

South Yorkshire Police has been contacted for a comment.
