Girl (2) recovering after Rotherham car collision

A TWO-year-old girl who suffered serious injuries after being hit by a car has been discharged from hospital.

A black BMW 3 series collided with the toddler at around 8pm on February 21 near a pedestrian crossing on Meadow Bank Road at the junction with Wilton Lane.

The BMW was travelling towards Kimberworth when the collision took place and the driver stopped at the scene, said a South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman.

“The girl has now been discharged from hospital and is expected to make a full recovery," she added.

No further action will be taken against the driver, said the spokeswoman.
