Ghouls and goblins haunt Herringthorpe

LITTLE ghouls and goblins are being invited to a howling good time at an event which is set to get Halloween off to a daring start.

The beautiful Herringthorpe Valley Park is hosting a free event for courageous kids aged six to 11 — accompanied by an adult — next Tuesday, October 29, between 1pm and 2.30pm.

Rotherham Borough Council’s green spaces officer, Donna Morton, said: “Come and get dressed up in your scariest costumes and join us.

“Get your free map and question sheet from the pavilion your map to find your way around our haunted park and answer the questions to win some spooky prizes.

“Thank to the Friends of Herringthorpe Valley Park who have helped to fund this event, it’s free, but booking in advance is essential as this is a spookily popular event.”
