Getting dizzy over music in Letwell

GIG organisers at an intimate village music venue are getting dizzy with excitement over a forthcoming event.

Fresh from performances at Sheffield’s Tramlines music festival and Music in the Gardens events, the Dizzy Club will play to a packed-out audience at Letwell Village Hall on September 5.

Acclaimed vocalist John Naylor has been wowing audiences with his band The Dizzy Club for over 20 years.

Mixing Latin rhythms with elements of 40s swing, Hot Club, Blue note, Sinatra and Soul, the band were founded way back in 1994 when John got together with violin and guitar player Patrick Walker at Fagan's famous music venue in Sheffield.

The line up also boasts Mike Fleming on double bass and vocals with Caroline Boaden — who has performed all over the world with big names including Take That — on drums.

Tickets for the Dizzy Club’s Letwell gig are still available, priced £12, from Martyn Sharpe or Andy Swift on 01909 731626 or 540694. Doors open at 8pm.
