Gazebo firm supports scuba diving charity

AN INDUSTRY-leading gazebo firm is supporting a charity which helps people with special needs enjoy scuba diving.

Rotherham-based Gala Tent has donated a marquee carport to Scuba Diving For All, to be used in its fundraising efforts.

The charity recently used its new marquee at Pickering Steam Rally, selling books and antiques under it to raise £900 for the cause.

Established since 2002, Scuba Diving For All provides free and subsidised diving tuition to disabled people.

It aims to help them improve their confidence, develop social skills and feel more independent.

Physically disabled people are able to enjoy more freedom in water than they can on land, making the experience both fun and therapeutic.

Jeremy Haile of Scuba Diving For All said: “We are extremely grateful for Gala Tent’s generous donation — it proved vital in the smooth-running of our stall throughout the day and will continue to serve us well in future events.”

Jason Mace, Gala Tent’s managing director, said: “We were delighted to be able to support Scuba Diving For All in their recent fundraising efforts at Pickering Steam Rally.

“It is really important for us to give back to the community and supporting charities like this one is an excellent way for us to achieve just that.”
