Garden shed blaze among weekend fires

FIREFIGHTERS attended when a garden shed accidentally caught fire on Sunday afternoon.

Crews from Rotherham station were called to Tennyson Road in Herringthorpe at 2.15pm and spent about an hour at the scene.

A wheelie bin was deliberately set alight on Gardens Close at Conisbrough at 9.30pm on Sunday.

Half an hour later, firefighters dealt with a rubbish blaze in a front garden at Pickup Crescent, Wombwell.

The cause of a vehicle fire involving a Jeep at Pearwood Crescent, Goldthorpe, at 3.20am on Monday is not currently known.

A Ford Mondeo was deliberately set alight at Mill Lane in Treeton at 11pm on Friday.
