Garage and car found on fire

A GARAGE and a car were torched by arsonists on Saturday.

The Vauxhall Corsa was set alight on Stubbin Road, Rawmarsh, at around 5am on February 17 and a crew from Dearne station was at the scene for 30 minutes.

The crew then attended Barnsley Road,  Goldthorpe, at around 1.30pm where a detached garage was alight.

The blaze was brought under control within 20 minutes.

A South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said both of the blazes were started deliberately.
