ARCHERY and fencing will be among the activities on offer at a free event heading to Conisbrough Castle on Monday.

Staff from Doncaster Children’s Service Trust’s EPIC team will host the event, which also aims to educate young people about crime.

Castle event lead Stephen Cole said: “I’ve put a lot of work into this event because I want it to be a great success for the community, so young people can get something beneficial out of it. Hopefully the kids will enjoy themselves and learn something valuable in the process.”

The event is aimed at 11 to 17-year-olds and takes place between 11am and 3pm. A free lunch will be provided plus refreshments donated by Sainsburys.

Anyone interested in attending can call Team EPIC on 01302 736100.
