Flat evacuated in Rotherham after blaze
RESIDENTS in a flat had to be evacuated after a fire began in the launderette below it.
Three fire engines were called to the business on Badsley Moor Lane late last night (Mar 8) to tackle the blaze.
The fire crews spent just over an hour at the scene.
A South Yorkshire Fire Service spokeswoman said the blaze began in the launderette and was accidental though no cause has been established.
She added that there were no injuries to anyone in the flat.
