Firefighters tackle two deliberate blazes

FIREFIGHTERS tackled two blazes which were started by arsonists over the weekend.

Three crews from Edlington, Doncaster and Maltby stations attended an outhouse fire at Staveley Street, Edlington on Saturday afternoon at 3.50pm.

Crews spent around 40 minutes putting out the fire.

A crew from Aston station was called to a vehicle fire on Ladyfield Road, Thorpe Salvin, at 1.20am on Sunday.

Firefighters were at the scene for half an hour.

A South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue spokeswoman said both fires had been started deliberately.
