Firefighters tackle two car fires this morning

FIREFIGHTERS dealt with two car fires this morning (Monday).

The first blaze broke out on a driveway on Wensleydale Road, Wingfield, at 1.30pm.

Elm station was at the scene of the accidental fire until 2.10pm. The make and model of the vehicle are unknown.

A second car fire broke out at 4am on Blyth Road, Maltby, following a road traffic collision.

A fire service spokeswoman said no-one was injured and a crew from Maltby station left the scene at 4.50am.

South Yorkshire Police has been contacted for more information.
