Residents were evacuated at around 8.50pm after fire broke out in a kitchen and the building, on Queen Street, East Dene, became severely smoke-logged.
A team of stand-in firefighters—on duty during the FBU strikes—attended the property and were able to confirm that the fire was out before properly ventilating the property.
