Fire crews help avoid 'catastrophe'

FIREFIGHTERS rescued a kitten trapped in a car’s radiator grille.

The curious cat was extracted from the vehicle, parked on Doncaster Road in East Dene, at around 9.15am on Wednesday.

A fire service spokesman did not say who the kitten belonged to or what happened to it, after the near "catastrophe".
