Final farewell to car crash victim Maria
GRIEVING friends and family will pay tribute next week to a midwife who delivered more than 200 Rotherham babies.
Maria Micklethwaite (36), died suddenly last Friday at Barnsley Hospital after a car crash in Wakefield.
Her funeral is next Friday at Blessed Sacrament RC Church in Athersley from 12.15pm followed by cremation at Ardsley Crematorium.

Hide AdMrs Micklethwaite, who is pictured on her wedding day last September, was a midwife at Rotherham Hospital for several years and a keen supporter of the hospital’s special care baby unit.
Her family, including husband Ian, have asked for donations in lieu of flowers to be made to the baby unit.
