Fencing and rubbish set alight in early hours

FENCING and rubbish were set alight in Mexborough early on Thursday.

Fire crews were called to White Lea Road at about 12.20am.

Earlier, they dealt with a car fire on Netherwood Road in Wombwell shortly before 10pm.

The badly-damaged vehicle was thought to have been a Peugeot and a fire service spokeswoman confirmed it was a deliberate fire.
