Ex-council leader Roger Stone to be grilled by MPs

FORMER council leader Roger Stone is due to give evidence about his handling of child sex abuse in Rotherham to a committee of MPs later.

Mr Stone, who resigned as the leader and a councillor in the wake of Prof Alexis Jay’s report last August, has not spoken publically since.

He released a resignation statement at the time, apologising to the victims.
