Embrace the future

COMEBACK band Embrace make a welcome return to South Yorkshire next month following an eight-year absence.

The West Yorkshire-based five-piece, who looked to have called it a day after their 2006 UK tour, were back with a bang earlier this year as their self-titled album made the top 5 and they played to a series of packed houses.

While the Doncaster Dome was the venue for their last gig in the country all those years ago, it is Sheffield’s O2 Academy which is welcoming brothers Danny and Richard McNamara and their bandmates on December 6.

The date comes two weeks after the release of double A-side single In The End/Quarters on November 24.

Having earlier in the year sold out two shows at London’s Shepherds Bush Empire and enjoyed incredible audience reactions at T In The Park and V Festival, as well as the pre-tour Grand Depart concert in Leeds, Embrace are embarking on a UK tour that will see the band play many towns and cities they haven’t visited for the best part of a decade.

Tickets priced £19.50 plus booking fee are available at http://www.ticketweb.co.uk/
