UKIP's Jane Collins has practically admitted she will not win the Rotherham parliamentary seat, saying coming "a strong second" would be a good result for her.

UKIP's Jane Collins has practically admitted she will not win the Rotherham parliamentary  seat, saying coming "a strong second" would be a good result for her.

The MEP for Yorkshire said: "I think we'll be a strong second which is probably what we expected all along and so long as we've eaten into the Labour majority I think that'll be a pretty good result."

Ms Collins said she also hoped UKIP would increasing its presence on Rotherham Borough Council when the local council votes are counted tomorrow.
