Eight face string of sex charges
THE trial of eight men charged with serious sexual offences against four girls aged 13 to 17 in the Rotherham area is due to start this morning.
THE trial of eight men charged with serious sexual offences against four girls aged 13 to 17 in the Rotherham area is due to start tomorrow.
The defendants, seven of who are from Rotherham and due to appear at Sheffield Crown Court, are charged with a total of 15 offences of rape, one of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, and one of sexual touching.
The eight men charged are:
- Adil Hussain (20), of Nelson Street, Rotherham town centre
- Saeed Hussain (29), of Hatherley Road, Eastwood.
- Shalzaad Hussain (22), of Clough Road, Masborough.
- Mohsin Khan (22), of Haworth Crescent, Moorgate.
- Zafran Ramzan (21) (06/12/88) of Broom Grove, Broom.
- Razwan Razaq (30) (21/01/80), of Oxford Street, Clifton.
- Umar Razaq (24) (11/03/86), of Oxford Street, Clifton.
- Shazad Akbar (23), of Shirecliffe Lane, Shirecliffe, Sheffield.
They were arrested in March last year and charged last December.
